Hmm i cant believe its 850/1200 when idleing. Most of the problems with the cat 10 drivers is the power saving mode, generally all ATi 5xxx series cards with the latest drivers have been idleing at 157/300 in 2d mode hence the problems. The fact your not is confusing.

Does it show the same when you untick "Enable ATI overdrive"?

Im struggling to believe that the clocks dont change as thats where most of the probs have come from, though maybe the power saving feature is only applicable on crossfire setups (im not on about ULPS which is a diff power saving feature)

Will see if i can find anything out.

    Yeah

Same thing as the other user in the thread

Do you work for Gigabyte ? Would be great if you can help me out

It's not a big thing but I would like to enable DXVA in Media Player Classic. But now I have to disable it so it wouldn't crash

No i dont work for Gigabyte, just always used ATI cards and just trying to help though on this occasion im a bit stumped as it seems to be a bit of a catch 22.

Gasan - If your profile is like chiggah's then im unsure of whats happening, if your idle clocks are 157/300 (you can check in CCC) then i can show you how to make the 2d profiles.

@SB420 open new bios F6A (for GV-R587UD-1GD) in RBE (Radeon Bios Editor) and You will see why clock has been or not changed - in older BIOS (F3) exist only one frequency profile 850/1200. In bios F5 exist two profiles (in bios) and in F6A exist 5 profiles for 2D, 3D clock and UVD modes. How can We may sets corresponds with Profile Aplication? Mayby this is a crux ...

Theres no way to say just from a pic, need to test your settings with something like furmark/3dvantage etc

Payti - Im using the 5970 so BIOS's are different however ive seen those silly 2d clocks on a range of ATI cards so assumed it was going to be the same.

From looking at the pic id say your voltage was too high. 1.3v? xfx overvolt tool for the 5970 only goes up to 1.1something
