There has been people that flashed there card with a sapphire Bios and it worked fine. When I flash it can't I use the f to force the flash.I got to do something to get it to work right and I don't want to have to downclock it just to get the Blu-ray working right. There has been serval people that flashed the card with a sapphire Bios and they had no problems and everthing worked like it was supposed to,I thought about flashing it withthe SO Bios ,but have not heard of anyone trying it .It will do 950 with ease and it will run at 1250 .I don't want to brick it ,but I have seen five people use the sapphire bios and they say it work fine .It has the different clocks so it should run my Blu-ray just fine.I can't use it how it is right now unless I want to ditch my Blu-ray and I done spent $200 on a Blu-ray bruner.

i cantsay about forcing it,it doesnt seem safe to me,ive flashed my card with winflash,it will only let me flash to other sapphire bios's i dont want to risk forcing it,best advice is to download msi afterburner and click on settings to unlock voltage control, then it will let you raise voltages slightly, dont go above 1.2v though

That the way it came ,with just two settings, that why so many people are haveing trouble with this card .The new Gigabytes Bios updates changes the voltage to 1.063v and has three settings 137/1200 1.063v 600/1200 1.063v and 850/1200 1.063v ,what makes me mad about that is they reduced the voltage from 1.163v to 1.063v.

I could upload the 5870 SOC (GV-R587SO-1GD) BIOS for you, not sure if it would work for you or help though?

If you want to try let me know and I will post it.

Keep in mind though any flashing you do is done at your own risk! And if you do plan to try it, have a bootable DOS flashing solution ready with a second card so in case something goes wrong you will be able to recover.

BIOS contains 7 clock profiles, all with 1.163V as shown below
