Using Threads = 2 will be far more demanding with your C2D cpu. Setting the stress level to 2048 or 4096 will test more of your memory.
With your setup, cpu core temperatures will probably be up to 60 - 65 (C) and this is safe when testing with IBT.
After I posted the screens above I started a 5 loop at the "Maximum" setting and when I checked on the result this morning the computer had passed. I took screencaps before I left the house so I could post them when I got to work but I forgot to re-enable my logmein client so I can't connect to my computer. Once my wife wakes up and I can get her on the phone to turn it back on I'll post. I also took a screen of task manager while the maximum loops were running and both CPUs were maxed out during the test.

I should be able to run it remotely, I'll put it on max and force 2 threads.

    I did.

    • EasyTune6 --> TUNER tab --> ADVANCE tab --> VOLTAGE tab (only the Voltage tab is needed)
    • CoreTemp screen [for your cpu's VID (Voltage ID)]
The BIOS settings will have to wait until I get home but I should be able to get the rest remotely once I can get into my computer.

Prime95 blend torture for 8+ hours is recommended.
If this is stable please post full BIOS settings.

It's running now (4:40pm EST), cores are at 42 and 40 deg respectively.

EDIT: BTW - I didn't modify anything in Prime85, just chose the "Blend" option.

Nlend is just fine. Cool temps even if TJmax is 100 and not 95.

It's 16 hours later and Prime95 "Blend" is still running. I guess that means my stock settings are solid?

Temps are at 43 and 42 respectively, it looks like they dipped up to 45 and 44 according to Core Temp.

Is there an app I can install and run in windows to see the BIOS settings? Otherwise it'll have to wait until tonight.

Sounds like it, 16 hours is a good long run.

No, you can only see the BIOS settings in the BIOS. You can however use easytune, memset, and everest to look at most of them

CPU Host Frequency is 333 not 300 I assume?

Set CPU PLL manually yo it's default or one step higher before increasing FSB. What do you want to try next?
