Ya, ok, I'd give it a few days too in case he is not home or something.

He never did reply back here either to let us know if the new BIOS even worked or not, which I was surprised by.

    Hi Everyone,

I'm sorry for not getting back to you all, I have been away on vacation with the July 4th holiday.

I have sent the Alpha BIOS, you'll see it posted here very shortly.

I want to warn you all that I did not have success in updating to this BIOS; it caused my UD3P to continuously power cycle on & off which obviously was of no use to me :)

I was able to Flash back to FE and simply disabled Quick Boot to solve the problem.

I will be curious to see if you guys have similar issues using the FF alpha BIOS.

    Let me know,

    Chris

Sorry for not posting earlier guys, I was in the middle of finishing up my Gigabyte 5870 SOC review and got sidetracked.

If anyone attempts to flash this BIOS after reading the above warnings do not worry, if you can't get out of the bootloop I will be able to help you recover by bypassing the MAIN BIOS, but you must have steady hands and thin tweezers :)

Please update using Qflash, and DISABLE Keep DMI Data (PgUp/PgDn Key in Qflash)
    P45UD3P2.FFa

Then once the flash is complete shut down and Clear your CMOS, then reboot and if you can load the BIOS load optimized defaults and go through your normal update routine

Just checking in with everyone, did anyone have any luck or attempt to use this BIOS yet?
