why dont you set it to balanced in win7 power saving? i do it knocks another 5c off idle temps, whats the point in running your cpu @4ghz when its idle and doing nothing? it switches to full speed if under any load

I doubt im going to see 5 degrees of my current temps to be fair with it off, ive always had it on performance mode myself.

I agree power saving technologys in the BIOS will lower temps, but as im in bechmarking mode....

Anyway, im rather happy with my temps, have exceed alot of the reviews for the cooler itself so im not complaining :)

Last night i had a pretty late one trying to get 4.2ghz, all i changed was the vcore and vtt. Anyway, before i went to bed i reset it to 4.0ghz settings.

This morning when i turned the pc on, it came up saying something about a post error? I didnt manage to get to see the screen for long enough as i was not in the room whilst it was booting.

Now if i tell the pc to switch off, and power down, it will boot straight back up afterwards for no reason

So i tell it to shut down or press the power button, it will all power down then power back up again..... Why??

    Grrrr

And as ive just noticed ive lost all my date settings etc etc :(

It already is set to that :(

This is sooo weird and sooo annoying. Up till yesterday everything was fine. Then today im having probs and i cant see any changes in the BIOS setup.

It lost the date and time which i set again... But now whenever i power off, it just turns the pc back on..... and i cant for the life of me figure out why.
