Well the straps are NB Speed and timings, in regards to your CPU's FSB. The lower the strap speed means tighter timings on the NB, higher strap speed means looser timings but faster speeds (More stable)

some memory just will not work on lower than FSB Strap, like using 3.20B with 450 FSB. Sometimes this will not work depending on the memory itself, or the timings and voltages used may need to be more extreme.

Here is all the straps and what FSB they go with

More FSB is not going to make it work with 4.00B, I mean that's not going to help. More FSB will help you reach your desired speed with 3.33D though.

Did you update your BIOS yet?

yes i did and am now trying to get it to run stable at 450 FSB but no luck so far, most i got was 420. When i set it at 450 it boots without a problem but it freezes just before the windows login screen. I tried setting Vcore up to 1,3V. do you think i should change that or MCH and CPU termination (i'm not really sure what those are)

Ahh ok, you just need to use more Vcore and possibly other voltages as well. 1.3 may not be enough at all for 450 FSB.

Try 1.35-1.45 and then if you still don't have any luck post me your latest full settings that fail and let me know how it fails. And any BSOD Codes if you get them.

MCH Maybe 1.2 would be plenty, Vtt (CPU Term) may need 1.25-1.35
