I have all 5.9s in Vista service pack 2, the highest for the OS. I don't know how my system would stand in 7. It runs fast as all hell and all games play smooth as butter with all the eye candy on my LG W2240T, 70,000:1 DFC, Full HD @1920x1080 22.5" LCD.
I wish that Microsoft would build a patch that allows Vista to have the same point range as Seven to make it standardized. I say this because after upgrading Vista to SP2 and have all updates I like it and after using Vista and 7 I realize my stable install of Vista works great for my purposes and I will use it for a while longer before I upgrade. Better yet make the scale 1-10 and make it's reading more useful and have each component weigh in terms of how much it really affects the performance of the machine like performance for aero compared to total graphics performance. I also think more elements should be accounted in the reading such as chipset performance, Multiple GPUs, and thier should be an average based on the machines total performance not just a mark for the lowest scored piece. I see they use the" only as strong as the weakest link" philosophy however that makes the scores pretty much a novelty rather than a tool to use for understanding the total prowess and ability of a machine. Also, if you want to highlight the weakest link give a system readout of components and the most needed upgradable areas along with the score. Just my thoughts......

i had to clock my cpu to 4.5ghz to get a 7.8 score for cpu,so i dont think you will hit full marks unless its a 6core chip

THank you guys for the approximate score possibilities.
It seems like they have really taken the newest technology into account when scoring in Seven. I think my Bloomfield 940 is fine for some time whatever win 7 says. Even though the 4870x2 I have runs games really well I think my next upgrade will be to a 5850- 5870, If I got extra bunches of cash a 5890. Mainly for the Direct X 11 hardware capability and other improvements in performance. I already have Direct x 11 installed, but can only take advantage of DX 10.1 being all the games I play are mostly 9.0c with a fair at 10.0 or 10.1 Im good until the end of the year or next year when DX11 is more integrated and games catch up to the power of the Radeon 5800s and the nVidia 480s

Judge Dredd- that is a sweeeet ass RIG! How is that hex Gulftown treating you?

Wazza300- thanks for the OC tip. I am going to bring my Clock up. I only have air cooling but a low ambient and a serious fan intake/exhaust setup. SO I should be able to hit at least 3.8-4.0GHz stable. We'll see. I hope! Also I don't mean to highjack this thread but hows that f13e BIOS acting?

bios seems fine as stable as f13c which i was using before,dirt2,aliens vs predator,metro2033 all support dx11, a 5770 is the best value for money or a 5850,5970 is overkill really unless you have money growing on trees
