    Wazza300, thanx for info,
I agree with you on the VGA cards. I read in Max PC that a good performance to value with a few years longevity w/ DX11 is a 5850 wich can be found for around $300 that seems reasonable. a 5970 at $900+ is too rich for my blood. Of course I want one but any radeon user does but for the price- like you said you would be out there pruning your money tree, later wazza.

Hi? Have u ever tried running the assessment with ur CPU (i7 870) not overclocked?
If so, what was the score?

    I only have a 7.6 score with my i7 975 @ stock speed (3.33GHz).
I just wanna know if my i7 975 is still that worthy, knowing that ur i7 870 outrated my i7 975 by .1.

    My score is...
7.5 *@stock speed, Hyper Threading enabled, but Turbo Mode is disabled.
    7.8 *(used to be 7.9 before i re-installed Win 7)
    7.8
    7.8
7.7 *1x SSD. Before, its 2x SSD's on RAID 0 and it has the same 7.7 rating (7.4 on IDE mode).

i dont know thats why i asked,i thought that windows would score for two gpu's if they were installed but it lookslike it doesnt as 7.4 is the same score for one 5770

It should go up, I know Vista does for xfire, it should see them as one card.

Does your 3Dmark 06 score double with both cards?

I use a Sony Vaio VPC-Z112GX laptop. It came with 4gb of memory, but I installed some extra memory earlier tonight to bring it up to 6gb. Here is my Windows experience index.

    That's not a good sign!

Does GPU-z show both cards at full PCIE bandwidth expected?

    Here is 3DMark 06 scores from the last time I ran tri-fire w/ 3 x 3870

    Single x16

    Double x16 + x16

    Triple x16 + x8 + x8
