Ahh well I only suggested other options because I NEVER Find a better deal at FrozenCPU because of overall price and the jacked up shipping prices.

Thermal tape would not be good for mosfet/heatpipes because it is too thin, that's why the pads are used because they are thicker. Now, it would be ok to use paste or tape, if you replaced the push-pins with screws so it was tightened down properly.

Well good luck with the wiring, and getting this all put back into order! Let us know how things go once you get going again

Haha, I hear ya. This was my first time buying from them, I even called local shops which is something I never do. I think it would be too much hassle to replace the push-pins, I would either have to get nylon nuts & bolts or make some plastic washers which is too much hassle IMO. Thanks :)

Ya I never shop there anymore due to their price gouging and shipping rates. See, I would have bought those here myself, if you didn't know about this store you do now :)

Same one you bought $3.95 here, but only $1.73 for first class shipping vs 3.99 at Frozen ($5.15 priority vs. $7.25)

    $2.95 for 60x50MM

Hmmm, I knew of the store but I don't think they came up when I searched for the pads. I'll keep that in mind now, thanks :)

Sometimes not all items in stores show up in search results, so keep that in mind too and always search in all the actual sites you know of.

Well let us know how things get along for ya.

Yea, usually I do search around more but this was a unexpected delay in re-building my computer so I wanted it ASAP! :)

Also, here's the thermal tape I was eyeballing:

I know the feeling! Happens to us modders and overclockers far too often!

I haven't used that tape before, any good or you dunno? I always use Sekisui 5760 myself when I need it, it's great and said to be the best.

    $2.50 for 3x 6" strip here

I haven't used it. I ordered a sample since I couldn't find a retailer. I actually have that tape I think. It's super thin isn't it? I've used it for a couple of things, not many practical uses though, at least for me :(

Ya, it is super thin and super sticky. I only use it on small heatsinks, like VGA ones or tiny Mosfet ones, but it is sticky sticky!

Of course for what you need here it would not work, you need the thicker tape type due to the way the pushpins/springs are on the heatpipe.

Let me know how you like that sample when you get it and how sticky and thick/thin it is.

How do you get that code in for your BIOS setup/settings? Is that a program?
