    Well I got all the way up to 470MHz FSB. It passed Memtest #7 but OCCT Linpack fails. I'm guessing MCH voltage? I'll bump it up but I don't want to go too far.

    Hmmm, 470MHz FSB with 1.3v on MCH and I re-booted and got a BSOD so I upped volts for the CPU to 1.35 and OCCT Linpack still fails, just a lot sooner. I'm going to go for 465MHz with all the settings from the previous template.

    465MHz fails as well. I'll wait for some expertise before tightening down memory timings. I'll be reverting to the last template.

    Probably need to rweak MCH Reference, 0.70-0.80 at 1.2v VTT.

    The short version:
    1. Set VTT to 1.2v
    2. Set MCH or CPU Reference to it's desired value.
    3. Set VTT back to it's desired value (MCH.CPU References will scale with VTT)

    Usually below 0.76 default is needed for the MCH Reference.

    Ok, I see what Chike is saying. What would be a good voltage for the CPU and MCH reference before I set VTT to the desired voltage? Below is what I'm running right now and it's stable in both Memtest and OCCT Linpack but if I go 465MHz FSB, Linpack fails but Memtest still passes so it isn't a memory problem. Also, what about other voltages?

    As I said less than 0.76 in most cases, but may as well be more. Start by lowering it to 0.74-0.70 at 1.2v VTT, step at a time and run tests. Either or both MCH and CPU reference may need adjustment.
    You are OCing cpu higher, so set PLL one step above default.
    Your memory is pushed far above it's specs, that may be part of the issue, either loosen the timings or use a 2 memory multiplier for now(may require higher tRD).
    Try to run Prime95 blend torture, FFT size may give a better indication what need to be changed.

    Ah crap. I've spent the last couple hours tweaking the memory and using Memtest #7 to verify (I've seen this recommended twice) it and it's always come back without errors. Now I accidentially ran test 3 and got errors. I'll have to backtrack before I can go further. Higher than spec memory is what I want :D It's just finding the right balance. Anyway, I have CPU reference at 0.795 and MCH reference at 0.790 with a VTT of 1.28. I'll post back later with the template and settings that I get stuck on.

    Make no more than one change at a time, otherwise it is not possible to tell which improve or made things worse.
    Start with the MCH, CPU probably not needed yet.
    BTW what is LLC(Load Line Calibration) set to? Add it to your template.

    LLC is disabled, I heard it was bad for these 45nm CPU's. I will add it to the template. Right now I'm a bit pissed. Went to go do some stuff and figured I would let Memtest run and I come back to 1 error on a setup I had thought was good. If I can't do 1104MHz with stock timings, I think I'm going to re-work a 1:1 ratio at about 920MHz and get the timings down and hopefully that basic MB/s number I see for the RAM in Memtest won't be too far off my 1104MHz setting. I'm going to go over the settings and play around some more and see what happens.
