I should be bringing it to Gigabyte tomorrow morning + a few days for testing. Thanks for helping me out with this - I'll update this thread once I know more. :]

Got an RA number and just dropped the mobo and graphics card at the facility for them to look at. The lady on the phone said they only look at GB parts so wouldn't be able to test the CPU/RAM for me.

This is a very interesting problem. If you read the g.skill forums, people with gigabyte x58 boards and g.skill RAM seem to be having this problem. This seems to only happen with the latest BIOS with enhanced memory capability. The fix looks to be downgrading the BIOS to an old version without enhanced memory capability.

What? RMA # you mean? Did you do this through the people Dinos connected you with? Just asking because it sounds like possibly you spoke with someone else who was unaware of our conversations and maybe just gave you a general answer?

Hopefully they will get it sorted properly for you! I understand that may be the policy in regards to other brands parts, but what you said just made me think maybe this person had no idea of what all we have already discussed with Dino and Will.

I explained to her that I got referred by Dinos and Will so she gave me an RA number (not RMA until I was a typo in her email) and sad that it'd be done priority because of the arrangement but I didn't speak to her in person when I was dropping it off.

Spoke with Will - all's good. RA number must be something different to RMA number. Hopefully hear back in the next couple days.

    Ahh great to hear!

I was just concerned is all, the way you said that made me worry you maybe spoke to someone who was not filled in with all the details they should've been. Nice to see they put it under priority as well.

Sounds like Will is a great guy, and I thought Dino could help you out, glad I asked! Gigabyte rocks man!!

Hmmm, RA? Maybe Dino will fill us in when he reads this? I assume RA = Return Authorization, same as RMA = Return Merchandise Authorization and maybe they just call it different things internally?

Well cool, I am glad they are taken care of you so nicely.

Hope all goes quickly and smooth, keep us posted!

I was a little worried as well which is why I was chasing Will down earlier to double checking did everything correctly. He's a pretty cool guy so I'm hoping I get an opportunity to thank him in person when I pick things up.

Back to my Haskell lecture, anyway. :P
