I know how it must feel, with so many horror stories out there I know it can be very troubling to even think about!

I am glad they are taking good care of you! Please tell Will I said thanks as well, I do not know him but tell him I said thanks anyway for being so cool in this situation.

Thanks again to Dino as well!

Hoping to hear back either tomorrow or Tuesday but I have midterms all week so I'm not rushed, heh.

Ahh ok, I was just checking in is all.

Good luck with the Mid Terms, and let us know how things work out here.

I emailed GB this afternoon and they got back to me and said that it was ready to pickup (on the 15th, actually but they didn't call me - doh!). They fixed the bent CPU pin and updated the BIOS on the GPU (after finding nothing wrong - not sure if they tested video playback, actually) so I'm going to pick up both parts tomorrow morning and put it together after uni probably.

Nice to hear it's ready, I was just heading to this thread to see if you had heard back from them yet or not.!

Sorry they forgot to email you when it was ready!!!

So, they did at least test to be sure all memory was showing up properly right? They would only test stock speeds for you though of course, but if that works then it should be fine otherwise once you have proper settings anyway.

It was still a lot faster than I expected which is good good (props to GB!). Now, I'd assume they'd test the board before returning it but it doesn't say that explicitly anywhere (the reason is marked as UCPCPU SOCKET PIN BENT on the sheet). The vid card was put through a burn test as well but that also isn't marked on the sheet so it's anyone's guess. Do you think it's worth sending off another email now?

I'll be putting it together when I get home later anyway.

I am sure they tested it! I have seen a few RMA's with no notes on the cause of the problem or fix, so that is normal I would say. Often likely because someone may have fixed it that could not write in English so maybe they just did not make any notes.

How do you know they tested your card, if it is not mentioned on the sheet?

Nice to hear you got it back so fast, even if it was done a few days before you knew it!

Let us know how the build up goes!

Thanks very much for your help with this Dino, and Will!

The person who I emailed checking on the status mentioned that the card was tested and NFF (no fault found) but they updated its bios non-the-less.

Many thanks to Dinos and Will indeed. :)

Ahh ok, just wondered since you mentioned they didn't say anything about it on the sheet that came with it all.

So, you get it built again yet?

Just got home now (was posting on phone earlier) so going to put it back together shortly.
