Let me know if you need help here guys.

Keep in mind 124 is often Vtt, and Q6600 @ 3.6Ghz is pushing it so more than 1.36 Vtt may be needed for sure. 65nm CPU is fine up to 1.45-1.5 Vtt

I'll try to bump it to 1.45 when I get home from work and see how that goes. Do you guys recommend LLC on or off? Thanks.

    LLC on

Have any luck yet? Just making my rounds.

If you run into issues post your current settings you are trying so we can try to help you along

Unfortunately no luck yet. I changed the VTT per suggestion, now set at 1.44 (it seems to have even numbered settings). The rest of the settings as previously posted. I ran Prime95 on Small FFTs instead of Blend and it crashed almost instantly. I ran 3DMark Vantage and it finishes at the current settings, but fails in the second test with the same STOP error 0x00000124 if I set the RAM timings to more aggressive settings, so I changed them back to the previously posted values. Based on that and the Prime95 failure I suspect either the RAM or the CPU, not sure which.

If small FFT fail that may be because you do not have enough vcore. It does seems to be low for 3.6GHz and your temperatures are quite low too.
But the two may be different issues as you said it crash in stock settings too.

You may be right. I went ahead and bumped the vcore to 1.485. I have also made the other changes listed. Hopefully they are safe. It is definitely more stable but hotter as well. I can run Vantage multiple time without errors. Prime95 doesn't crash instantly on Small FFT, but I stopped it when it started to hit 70c+. I ran it on Blend for about 15 minutes, but it started getting hot again so I stopped it. I guess I am stuck until I find some better cooling. Currently running a Zalman CPNS 9700.

3.6GHz is quite high for this CPU, many are not able to make it with under 1.5v vcore or at all, and the 9700 may not be able to handle all the heat.
Perheps 3.4-3.5GHz with higher FSB if the ram permits it if you don't want to invest some $70 in a better cooler.

It's never been game stable at any speed, so it looks like it needs some volts regardless. I don't mind buying a new cooler for it. It's cheaper than the new new CPU I'm going to buy if this doesn't work.

I agree, this is a hot CPU at those speeds and you probably need a better cooler.

And like Chike said, some wont do 3.6 without 1.5V+, some wont even then, so you may need more Vcore or just settle for 3.4Ghz or so.

I can't run Prime95 without it getting too hot, but in games it still stays just under 50c, so I will probably try to run some games this weekend. If it seems stable I will look for a better cooler and if not I may just look for a Q9550 or something. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Thanks for all of the help.
