    Chike-LSD, I made adjustments as suggested - Ran Prime95 small FFT full pass no errors. Ran Prime95 large FFT errors,errors,and errors. I increased tRD to 9,10,11 no luck. I loosen RAM timings Standard and Advanced still got errors. I even tried 2.00D Strap - No Go. I even tried CAS Latency 6. I'm starting to think I'll have to lower or raise FSB??? I need help with this. I can get different RAM if need be. 1200??? Thanks

    Set tRFC 70-72, and Static tRead Value 10 for both channels for now.

    Since you already tried loosening timings, tRD, and higher MCH Core, it is probably FSB related issue, so it's VTT and MCH/CPU references.

    Try MCH Reference 1-3 steps up and down, and CPU Reference 1-4 steps up and down. You may try using EasyTune while you test, then set it in BIOS when you found stable settings. Use "set" not "save", and remember EeasyTune always show the value @ 1.2v VTT.
    If none help try higher VTT 1.32-1.4v, and repeat with the references for each VTT step.

    EDIT: can you post MemSet SPD window for this memory?

    Chike, I set tRFC to 72 - set Static tRead to 10 - set MCH Reference to .74 (vtt 1.20) = .803 (vtt 1.3) : Ran Prime95 large FFt's = Failed at desktop / set MCH Reference to .80 (vtt 1.20) = .863 (vtt 1.30) : Ran Prime95 large FFT's for 5+ hrs. with no errors. I will run Prime95 Blend while I'm at work today. If that passes I'll work on CPU Reference settings. Did you see anything in my SPD that may lead us to make changes??? Anyway, I'm happy to have something go our way. Thanks again

    Just wanted too see the SPD, no need to change anything right now, you may try to lower tRD and tRFC 68-70 later.

    Most of the c2q threads,which there arent so many of now seem to revolve around the 450-500 cpu ref (1800-2000 fsb)and 2000 max range and ddr2 memory running at 2.00D or 2.40B.

    I think it goes something like this .Max chipset bandwidth 9-11+gb/s memory latency around 60.

    If you pump up both the cpu and memory on 2.4 multiplier(depending what multiplier you have on the cpu)you could exceed the chipset bandwith limitations unless you really gimp up the memory timings.

    1066 mhz memory should overclock more with the fsb set low (gee really Kick!) but with the strain on the board at higher cpu/fsb speeds it may not manage it.

    Di you try using your jedc 800 mhz memory timings timings at 400 cpu ref and work up from there?

    These are the settings I use ,I dont have a 8.5 multiplier tho the bios allows me to set 8.5(doesnt work tho)
    Im not saying some variation of these will work for you,above 450 cpu ref settings seem very memory type dependent.
    actually 450 cpu ref(900mhz ddr2) is exactly the point where my memory wont work on 4-4-4-12 timings anymore,but higher fsb speed and cpu speed make up the performance drop to cas 5 timing very quickly.
    Also you can see some large voltage changes needed for stable running at 500cpu ref up from 490.

    Thanks for all the info. I had run Prime95 Blend for 9 hrs. 15 min. then got a error warning (large FFT - can't remember what test # or FFT) with the adjustments Chike had suggested. I had made adjustments using ET6 - That's the best it's done so far. When I made adjustments in BIOS it failed sooner. I kept making adjustments to CPU/MCH References but kept failing Prime95 Blend 640 FFT (at least 6 times) and 512 FFT (I think). I've all but given up on the 2.40B with 450 FSB. I also tweaked with the 2.00D/450 FSB. I still had problems. I'm not giving up - I'm getting even. I've ordered some new RAM - should be here tuesday. I hope I didn't make a mistake. I got G.Skill F2-9600CL5D-4GBPI - 8 GB's. I'm tweaking on my other RIG right now (I only have 1 monitor/Hanns-G 28") would'nt take a second to hookup this RIG up if you need any info. I was looking over your (Kick) BIOS template - man you've got to run some juice to run 500 FSB. If I can't get my new RAM to run 450 FSB WE will take it to 500. I really appreciate the input. I hope Chike doesn't think I've given up. Thanks again

    You said MCH Reference 0.80 @ 1.2 VTT passed 5 hours large FFT, have you tried all in the range 0.78 - 0.82?
    With the one that work best try to adjust CPU Reference.
    Also try with 1.32-1.34v VTT.
