OK, immediately after that restart I got a blue screen before I could get into Windows. Second restart and I'm in. Not sure how long this will last though.

That lasted for one minute. I am turning it off now in case I'm doing some damage here.

try with 1.320000 qpi voltage, also you can set dram v to 1.60v but try just qpi first its this that usually causes random blue screens

Hey Warren, I will try those settings this evening after I thoroughly test both sticks individually with memtest86+. So far, I've had the following results:

Stick 1 first slot: 5 passes, no errors
Stick 2 first slot: 3 passes, no errors

Is it safe to keep increasing QPI then? Also, why would 1.5V be Corsair's recommended DRAM Voltage if it's clearly not stable on my system?

    Cheers,

    Ian

it shouldnt hurt with 1.6v for your ram,you dont have to use it if you dont feel safe with it,set your qpi v to auto andsee what it sets it at it will probably be higher than 1.32v so 1.3-1.32 should be ok

OK, memtest86+ completed. 5 passes 0 errors on each stick individually in each slot. I changed my DRAM Voltage to 1.56V and I'm in Windows now. I swear this has something to do with a cold boot, seems to always be worse in the morning when system hasn't been on.

if your having problems with cold booting its most likely your brand of ram, some brands suffer from this more than others

And here I was thinking Corsair had a great reputation! I have contacted them about my case and they are looking into it. Any recommendation on some solid 4GB memory running at 1333 that would be compatible with my Gigabyte P55-UD2 if these problems keep occuring each morning?

best to look what brands they have on there support list,i dont have any probs with these ocz sticks, sometimes you can have a faulty batch, where did you buy them from? overclockers?? try here and take a look there cheaper than overclockers and free postage,i got my ram from them

    DDR3 1600 PC12800 Memory at cheap prices from Novatech.co.uk : Components :

the ocz gold cas8 1600mhz look good but its your choice

    or 1300mhz

I bought these from Scan. I bought the whole system on a recommendation from a friend and when I told him that this RAM wasn't on Gigabyte's Qualified Vendor List for the motherboard, he seemed to think it would not be a problem. Here is that list:

    http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/FileList/...a-p55m-ud2.pdf

On the link you sent, I noticed the RAM is 1600MHz. Does this matter for my motherboard?

I have heard good things about OCZ. Cheers Warren.
