    I am glad you noticed the tRD differences, be sure you set those to the same values. If 6 fails for both, set 7 of course, and using 7 may also allow you to use less MCH or Vdimm too because it would be less stressful than 6

    Hooray! System is stable for more than 40 hours running prime95. I also played Crysis (with prime 95 running) and no issues either. Bumping FSB to 333 MHz and lowering CPU multiplier to 8 did the trick. These are my final settings

    Hello again!

    Well i didnt like the fact that i was constantly overclocking my main system (and didn't take advantages of the full potential of the motherboard's energy saving features) and so i did some further research on this matter. I suspected that BIOS when FSB is set to 333 MHz uses some settings which are different from when FSB is set to 266 MHz. So i set them manually to their FSB 333 auto values and voila, problems gone and system is up and running normally after 30 hours of stressing using prime 95.

    Those phase adjusts should be fine set to auto, and would be optimal that way as well.

    Are you saying if they are set to auto it causes problems?

    Yes, these settings cause RAM to fail after 12-24 hours... These are the only settings which i can confirm that change when i set FSB to 333 MHz and system stabilizes (i have no way of checking the actual value of driving settings). Weird indeed. Maybe is some problem with BIOS being not fully compatible with RAM... Some compatibility fixes are needed maybe...

    I get about 80 ns in Everest latency test with these settings.



    I get ~75 ns with auto but it is not stable. If i overclock FSB to 333 the value drops to 71-72 but the system is over clocked about 25 % so this is expected i suppose.

    PS.

    Phase adjust settings seems to be controlled by "Performance Enhance" setting under "DRAM Performance Control". Setting this to Standard (Or any other value) wont give to phase adjust the right values for system to be stable.

    Yes, those would be changed by that setting. Odd to hear auto does not work fine, so ya maybe it is some compatibility issue?

    What memory multiplier are you using when you use 333 FSB, this may be the problem if you are not using one on the 333 FSB Strap

    Thats what i think... BIOS is not finetuned enough by Gibabyte for this occasion (DDR800 crucial ballistix running at 266 FSB)

    Whatever i choose between those values (Standard/Turbo/Extreme) sets DRAM phase adjust to unstable values, is what i mean. Even Standard sets unstable values.

    What memory multiplier are you using when you use 333 FSB, this may be the problem if you are not using one on the 333 FSB Strap
    When i used 333 FSB i used 333 strap and 2.40B multi. However setting FSB to 333 did overclock my CPU by 25% according to Lavalys so i tried to find out what (advanced) setting changes (in contrary to 266 FSB combo) when i use the above combination (including Performance Enhance set to Standard). I took those values and set them manualy using FSB 266, MCH strap 266 and Mult 3.0A and voila no stability problems anymore.

    Ya it may not be optimized so much for 266 FSB as it is for 333.

    Glad to see you figured out what to set so it works for you though, even though it is odd at least it now works properly!

    I did some further optimizing setting DRAM performance enhance to Extreme. System is stable after 40 hours prime95 stressing.

    using auto phase adjust gives about 75 latency. Not that much decrease using fixed settings.
