    ill just have to wait and see the cost of the UD9
    the UD9 should over clock beter the the 24 phase switch power i would think. More stable!
    but if price is high as they say ill just get the UD7 and a 980X to go with it

    Yes you are missing out on it with UD5, here is some more info
    GIGABYTE UD7 Series Motherboards

    They have redesigned it for UD9, so sorry Judge-Dredd for my confusion on your comment, they do both have 24 Phase design just differently is all

    meh... It's nice feature; alway nice to have lower temps but since i'm not a heavy overclocker anyway it's not something i'm going to miss out on. And the UD5 does have the 12 Phase VRM design so...

    Ya, I think it is really only needed/helps mostly at super high overclocks such as you see when using Ln2 or Dry Ice.

    ok guys order mine today newegg has them instock for $699.99 it hurt my pockey alot but its worth it to me

    i have been reading the manual and ill have to say i like this board better and better
    i will be useing SLI and it says ti install card in PCIE 1 & 3 for SLI that mean there will be 2 open slot between cards way better air flow when there not stack on top of each other

    now if i can get LSDMEASP get mail me that 980X ES chip ill be set

    Hicookie explain new 24 phase and VRM.
    Also same improvement are implemented in the new Rev.2 X58A-UD5 and X58A-UD3R
