Great to see an "officially sorted" tag.

Received my Phenom II X6 1090T yesterday and installed in the same GA-MA-790X-UD4P motherboard that seemed to go wonky after updating to the F10A BIOS. Removed the discrete NIC, re-enabled the on-board NIC, and rebooted into Win7. Re-installed the NIC drivers and everything worked....weird.

No failures and no re-activation (forgot to mention that occured after the original incident earlier this week). Overnight burn-in produced no surprises. Performance at stock speeds is very good.

Very happy with system at this point. Still perplexed by the earlier NIC issue (and subsequent manual re-activation).

    Mission complete! HOOAH!!!

Just remember that there are two different boards here with different Bios. Mine is the GA-MA790XT-UD4P. The board you mention doesn't have the "T" in it. Make sure you are using the correct Bios.

Yep, you are right. Two different (but very similar) boards. Jumped in this thread because of commonality of issues associated with X6 CPUs and BIOS updates to accomodate.

    Never let the computer win!

Great to hear all is well now!

"T" in the model name means DDR3 for anyone who wasn't sure.
