I have similar problem. System is unstable and windows 7 64-bit cannot be installed with default settings. If I lower cpu multiplier to e,g, 15 all seems to work. However that is really not a permanent solution. I have three memory chips. Kingston 1333 MHz 9-9-9 and i7-930. Memory is listed in QVL list for GA-X58-UD5. Bios is version F5. Could someone please share their stable settings for M.I.T. or give any other relevant advice? Thank you!

Please give me your full current settings in a template from my signature and I will advise back.

Please also link to your memory if you can, or give the model #. And tell us what PSU you have too

    Hi Chanon,

You're in safe hands with lsdmeasap, he got me fixed up in no time.. Just be prepared to spend a few hours going in and out of the bios tweaking until things become stable.

LSDMEASAP :- Where or how do I post you my template?

    Good Luck

    J.

You can post it as-is, or put it between code or quote tags if you want.

For CLK ratio I tried 21. For voltages I have tried both normal and auto. For QPI/vtt I tried in addition the.values suggested in this thread previously.

    Hi Chanon,

I initially had the F5 Bios and upgraded to F12 as my system was a comlete nightmare.. F12 made big improvements, however F13c which is a beta has been brilliant.
First off I would upgrade and see if you get a little more stability, and then start tweaking from there.

    Link to it is... http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/12...58UD5.F13c.zip

If ur nervous about a beta, goto Gigebytes site and grab F12.

3 days in now and my system hasn't skipped a beat, and man its fast.

Let us know how you get on...

    Cheers
    Jus.

Hmm, F5 is the latest bios I see on Gigabytes website:

    GA-X58A-UD5 (rev. 1.0) - GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Motherboard - BIOS

Am I looking from wrong place?
