    Default P55A-UD6 with i7 870 users !!!

    Just got my brand new p55a-ud6 but could not find a balance voltage setup for my board.

    I need to get some good tips on "advanced voltage settings" from you guys' UD6 bios.

    Currently I am running with 4 x 2GB G.Skill 2200Mhz CL7-10-10-28 of rams.

    Planning to OC to 4.04GHz or more.

    You know I had had a UD4 also and I changed to UD6 last week. Again, I've got a nice deal for a brand new one at eBay!

    Anyway, I applied pretty much the same settings to the UD6 and it turned out worst at PRIME.

    So far, I have been playing around with the voltages but still it hasn't passed the 1st test of the 1st run. I think I have missed something there and am sure the UD6 performs better than the UD4.....

    Currently it is running with 4 x 2GB G. Skill 2200 MHz CL7-10-10-28 rams.

    Are you using the latest BIOS on the UD6 now?

    Give me your full settings in a template and I will advise back some things to try and help ya get going

    Had had the latest F9b before but switched back to F7. F7 is said to resolve memory compatibility issue.

    Will post the detail soon.

    Well just so you know, any fixes or improvements would also be carried over from F7 to all future releases, so F9b would work just as well for you.

    You may need to back off your memory freq a bit, or loosen the timings to get stable. The rated specs are for one kit only, and that is already fairly high so I wouldn't have high hopes in getting 8GB going at those speeds

    What numbers would you suggest? from 7-10-10-28 to ?

    I have pumped some voltages to the Vcore, DRAM and QPI/VTT and they are now getting a bit stable to 1.5hours at Prime.

    1.3125 Vcore
    1.4 QPI/VTT
    1.86 CPU PLL
    1.68 DRAM

    Well I would really suggest you try getting 2000Mhz stable first, at maybe 999-24 if you can.

    If you don't want to, try 8-10-10-28, or 8-10-8/9-28 and see if that will get stable for you at the speeds you are running. You may need to use CAS 9 even, but probably not if you can find the right voltage balances.

    To much QPI/Vtt can be as bad as not enough, so keep that in mind. Are you getting 0x00000124 BSOD's or not? If not then you are already using plenty, and maybe could use less even.
