GTLREF set to auto, or did you not understand what I was saying?

You need to run Memtest86+ for 5-10 passes or overnight to be sure your memory is stable like that.
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

Or you can wait, since you want to overclock your CPU you might as well because the memory will be set differently once you do anyway.

Try this for 400 FSB (3.6Ghz), not sure how well the stock cooler will do with this though? You should be ok for testing to find out though

Robust Graphics Booster___________ [Auto or Fast]
    CPU Clock Ratio ____________ [9 ]
    Fine Clock Ratio ____________[0.0]
CPU Host Clock Control_ [disabled] << Enabled
CPU Host Frequency (MHz)__________ [333] << Set 399 or 401
PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [auto] default is 100 << Manually set 100
    C.I.A. 2__________________________ [Disabled]

    Performance Enhance = [Standard]
System Memory Multiplier (SPD)____ [auto] << Set 2.50 or 2.40 for now
    Mem Frequency [SPD]1066
DRAM Timing Selectable_______ SPD __ [Manual]

    CAS Latency Time________________5
    Dram RAS# to CAS# Delay_________5
    Dram RAS# Precharge Delay_______5
    Precharge Delay (tRAS)__________18

    ACT to ACT Delay (tRRD)_________3-4
    Rank Write to READ Delay________3-6
    Write to Precharge Delay_________4-6
    Refresh to ACT Delay______________52-62
    Read to Precharge Delay__________3-5
Static tRead Value_______________7 <<< 6-8 depending on ram speed and voltages
    Static tRead Phase Adjust________29 [Auto]

    System Voltage Control____ [Manual]

DDR2 Overvoltage control - +0.3 = 2.1V If this is your memory spec set that, if not adjust accordingly
    DDR2 DE-overvoltage control - Auto
    PCI-Express overvoltage control-Auto
FSB Overvoltage control- Auto << Set +0.1
    FSB DE-Overvoltage control - Auto
    {G}MCH overvoltage control - +0.2-0.3
    {G}MCH DE-Overvoltage control - Auto
CPU GTLREF Voltage ratio - 0.636 << Auto
CPU voltage control - << Manual. Set 1.25-1.34 should be fine, but you may need more/less
    Normal CPU VCORE - 1.22500V

yes i did understand what u were saying...but there is NO option for AUTO.....for GTLREF..just numbers..
ill try that cpu overclock if it fails ill prolly wait and buy a water cooler....
do i need to optimize defaults again? or is this standard for everytime you change settings?

Auto would be at the very top of all those numbers, or you may also be able to key in zero with the number pad (Numlock enabled first), if not scroll all the way to the top of the values and you should find Auto.

If you can't afford water cooling, then just get a good air cooler, anything would be better than stock!

No, you just need to do optimized the one time before you get started tweaking things.
