    and what are the adjustments?

    thanks.

here, balanced throttles the cpu when idle but not at load, high performance runs the cpu at your full overclocked speeds all of the time for me 3.8ghz,but you will have higher idle temps than if you set it to balanced and it will still throttle cpu even when c1e is disabled in the bios

Case isn't this big and with 2 gtx480 in sli and the big cpu cooler there isn't much space left.
Also have the impression its much harder to overclock since I installed the two vid cards.

Psu is a Corsair HX1000 so no bottleneck there.
your two big causes of heat are those 480's,try a few clicks on ioh core and ich core it will help with two gpus

Maybe you should replace the top fan with a better one, it's 140MM right? If you need to know some places to buy let me know

Nope lsd its a 20 cm top fan known as Antec Big Boy.

And no my two 480's ain't the cause. They do 44 and 39 Celsius when idle and never hit 72 under load with Afterburner fan profile enabled. Also added a fan in the side of the case directly blowing at their heat pipes.

Is it normal for the UD7 to have so much vdroop ?

When I set ex:1.3875 in bios then CPU-Z reports only 1.360v with llc on auto.
    Other example: 1.425v in bios = 1.392v in CPU-Z

Using llc1 is even worse cause there seems to be no difference with auto setting except the voltage further going down under full load whilst llc2 is a chipset killer.(1.3425 in bios makes it going over 1.42v under load in windows)

And its even getting worse with the latest F5 bios.

Never saw this on the UD3 nor UD6

Ohh, wow that is big, but you say it doesn't move much air? If not ya, go ahead and find a better one to replace it.

You need to set LLC to Level 1 to lessen the Vdrop/Vdroop, by the way what you mention is vdrop not vdroop. Vdroop is the difference between what you get at idle and load.

Also try several settings, some have more/less than others, like 1.3 may droop bad but 1.295 or 1.3125 may not so much

Don't get me going on vdroop then.lol.

1.360v at idle changes to 1.344v full load...

Think the UD7 is the only P55A board with so much vdrop and vdroop.

I am still experimenting, now on llc1 and most hard overclockers at ES and the Overclockers forum are telling me a VTT setting of 1.40v cannot cause any problem ?

Made some changes to the airflow too. Changed the slow original Thermalright fan for a second Antec 12cm tri cool 79cfm fan and temps at 3.82GHz under Prime dropped to a max of 73 Celsius on the hottest core.
