Default P55A-UD3 and CMX4GX3M2A1600C8 dual channel problem

I experienced random reboots and blue screen with memory sticks on slot 1 and 3. i've tested them with memtest86+ v4.10 and I got some errors. I tested the memory sticks individually and both of them are ok (haven't returned any errors) but in dual channel I receive constant errors. I moved them after that on slot 2 and 4 and I still got errors. My BIOS settins are default with XMP enabled (profile1). Bios revision is F8. BCLK 160, memory is running at 1600 with 8-8-8-24, QPI/VTT 1.15, DRAM Voltage 1.64. CPU is Intel I5 650 running at stock speed 3.20 GHz. The memory doesn't want to work in dual channel. What can I do? Memory and motherboard are incompatible??

If you get BSOD code 0X00000124,it's mean "Incorrect QPI/Vtt Voltage".Try to increase to 1.25-1.30V or Auto.
Also DRAM Voltage 1.64-1.66V.Try to note BSOD code.
BSOD Error codes and what they mean:
0X00000050 << Incorrect Memory Timing/Freq or Uncore Multi
    0X00000124 << Incorrect QPI/Vtt Voltage (To Much/Not Enough)
0X00000101 << Not enough Vcore Voltage

I increased QPI/Vtt Voltage to 1.25-1.3 but no luck...I still got errors in memtest86+. Memory voltage was already at 1.64V (and I've tried with 1.66V too).

Memory must be in the white slots, so be sure you are using those slots.

Go ahead and also keep using 1.66V, this will be the closets to actual 1.65 you can get, 1.64 may be 1.92-1.63 actual.

    QPI/Vtt maybe try 1.15-1.25

Memory sticks were already in the white slots. I've set now the DDR Voltage to 1.66V and QPI/VTT to 1.25, XMP activated and the rest on default. I tested the memory with Memtest86+ and Windows memory diagnostic and no errors. It's a bit strange since as I recall I already tested those settings earlier and received errors. Maybe they return errors only on cold boot... Anyway thanks for the help and I'll let you know if something happens (restarts, BSOD ...).

Bad news. I'm still receiving errors and program crashes on coldboot. Any advice?

Disable XMP and set the settings yourself all manually.

I've solved the problem...one of the sticks was bad...it was difficult to realize that because it was giving errors mainly on cold boot.

So you tested and found one bad stick for sure then?

If so sorry to hear, but glad you found it now instead of dealing with issues longer and trying to narrow down things.

If you need their RMA page let me know
