    I've tested with the following:
    Rosewell 650w PSU (stable 1yr in P55-UD3R)
    OCZ StealthXStream 500w
OCZ ModXStream 500w (two different ones, one new, one 1yr old)

They tested with corsair memory, dunno what PSU
honestly they didn't test the machine anywhere near long enough to be sure it was stable, especially since I haven't had it freeze yet while actually under significant load (just @ idle)

I have two kits of DDR3, both G.Skill, one is 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 1.5v (new) the other 1600mhz 7-8-7-24 1.5v (stable 1yr in UD3R build), I've tried each kit in both machines, single sticks out of each kit, looser timings, tighter timings, extra QPI voltage, and every step of DRAM voltage up to 1.61v without change

idk what it could be its strange, but atleast its working now,i know that the mb bios's contain all cpu and ram compatibility fixes ect maybe the newer mb bios doesnt contain a certain fix that the older mb has for that ram or chip??? its weird

i know its a crazy idea but have you switched the chips back just to confirm that its unstable? or dont you wanna attempt it now things are stable?

    yeah, very strange

no, I hadn't thought to switch them back
I guess its something to try, but..... the thought of reinstalling new CPU #2 into new mobo #2 to solve the same issue i've had since day 3 back in june.... strange does not even begin to describe it

I have no real reason to switch other than a test tho, since the CPUs are different only in VID/Age/manufacturing details, and both appear stable even with a modest overclock to 160bclk (3.2ghz) and turbo/cstates all on.
