try disabling c1e and select balanced profile in win7 power saving,it will be more stable and do the same job, thats what i use i keep c1e disabled now,is the ram corsair? meaning its rated at 1.5v? you could try loosening ram timings a little and see if that helps try 9-9-9-28

and try with a +0.0650v dvid(cant remember exactly if thats right)but one or two clicks up on what it is now
0.898 could be slightly too low a voltage when idle so maybe its causing lock ups so few clicks more on dvid will raise it a little at idle and load

I couldn't care less about saving electricity at this point, i've spent dozens and dozens of hours on this hehe
I would prefer to keep turbo boost if possible, the rest is unimportant to me

    The RAM is G.Skill, Rated @ 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 1.5v

    Edit:
tried still all advanced settings @ enabled, DVID +0.0625, 160bclk 1.150v vtt, RAM 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 1.5v no luck
    will try 9-9-9-28 next
    Edit #2
9-9-9-28 no change... trying without C1E
Edit #3 Disabling C1E had no effect, disabling turbo boost & all Advanced CPU features

It just froze again, this time with Turbo Boost, C1E, EIST, C3/C6/etc.... all disabled, at 3.2ghz, 160bclk DVID +0.0500, 1.150v vtt, RAM 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 1.5v
I don't know wtf to think
I'm gonna try disabling LLC/LCC or whatever and see if it fixes it, but I may have tried it before, i dunno

I don't know wtf else to try...
significantly more DRAM voltage than spec? I swear I've went to 1.6v without a change.... :/
    DRAM slots 2 & 4?
    removing the CMOS battery entirely?
    voodoo?

How about not using DVID since you don't care about saving power as mentioned above?

Disabling LLC will make it so you get less voltage under load, so that likely isn't going to help.

just thought c1e and turbo might be affecting stabilty thats why i said try without, you could try a short stint with 1.66 in bios for dram? its up2 you though as its rated at 1.5v

hey guys this problem is so complicated , you change your whole pc and now its still freaze ummmmmmmmmmm , let me see you bios templetes mybe you have to left up qpi or cpu pll and skew that it makes stability for overclocking

Ok... the machine appears to be stable now, it stayed up +36hrs (2 nights in a row) without a freeze, and then another 24hr without a freeze on a cold boot

I'm not 100% sure what change solved it, the last variable I altered was disabling LLC, however I'd made lots of changes prior to that so I'm unsure if it could be a combination of factors, and I'm sure I've changed a whole bunch o stuff I didn't need to... suggestions on any improvements I could make in terms of performance would be handy

    Current setup:

    160bclk
    QPI: x32

    C1E: Off
    C3/C6: Off
    Turbo: Off
    EIST: Off

    Vcore : normal (1.15v~)
    DVID: +0.05v
    QPI/VTT: 1.150v

    PCH Normal
    CPU PLL Normal
    DRAM 1.62v
    1600mhz 9-9-9-24
    performance enhance : standard

    LLC : Disabled

you can try with C3/C6: on Turbo: on EIST:on and see if your stable, dont be scared to add extra voltage to dvid to give stability,+0.0500 to +0.0750 should be enough, and wont hurt temps

it will because of turbo, you need to add atleast +0.0600 or maybe +0.0750v to dvid and up qpi/vtt to 1.2v and then test, you can lower voltages maybe later once stable
