    Default GA-EX58-UD5 pci express x1 to x16

    Hi, i have a PCI express x1 card but it wont fit in the X1 slot due to the monster heatsink, i have been told that i can put the card into 1 of the pci express x16 slots is this correct and will it have any affect on performace.

    Yes you can use it in one of the x16 slots, it will not affect the performance of anything really.

    Use the Last PCIE x8 slot, that way it only takes away from the second PCIE x16 slot, it will make the second PCIE slot function at x8 (Possibly x15 not sure how that would work, as they do share bandwidth the X8 and second X16 slot)
