    Also, while looking at your copy&paste job there, I noticed that the top option, "OnChip IDE Control" does not exist in my BIOS menu.

    You don't need IDE control. Your missing something here. Go to your motherboard manual and go over chapter 4 start on page 65. Follow the instructions or try installing Windows in IDE mode first. I still don't understand fully what mode trying to setup. There are 3 modes RAID AHCI and IDE all on the SATAII controller. They each setup different.
