Default Need Some Help Pushing my 920

I'm trying to raise my '06 and Vantage scores but I cannot seem to get my 920 any higher. It may be the chip, but I'd like to alleviate my feelings that it's the board. I think I've maxed my 4890 for air at 1060/1200.

Here's my latest '06 and Vantage screens.

    P23764 '06

    P15086 Vantage

As you can see, the highest I've made it through Vantage at is 4.452 GHz and the highest I've made it through '06 at is 4.41 GHz.

Here are the voltages from my most recent trial at 4.5 GHz:

i think your gpu is holding you back more than your cpu/mb,unless your watercooled id say youve reached the max for air, or go crossfire??

My GPU score and clocks are higher than almost everyone above me, with the exception of a few. However, they all have higher clocked processors. I had another 4890 but sold it (not before posting the #5 crossfire score though, which has since dropped to #9).

Some people call '06 CPU Mark '06 because the processor affects your score so much. In Vantage it's only 10%, but my scores are so close that the 10% would move me up in the ranking.

Try 1800-1950 Memory freq, with 8/9 CAS and you might get that going, that should add some points to your total!

You could also try pushing 19 or so Uncore, that would add to things as well.

If you want higher benckmarks ,you might want to upgrade your video card because 4.4g on a i7-920 is pretty darn good.I run mine at 4.2gig at 1.35v on air.I doubt any higher speed memory would help. Because I ran my memory at 1200mhz and got about the same score benchmarking as I did when I run it at 1600mhz, at both setings the timeing was the same 7-7-7-21-1T.It was only 10 or 20 points difference.

The dice pot arrived today and I'm no longer using the UD4P. I've moved up to an R3E. We'll see how the session goes tonight or tomorrow.

Hey Bassplayer, I thought that might be you over at OCN!!

Good luck with the dice sessions!

Something else that will help improve these scores I forgot to mention is PCIE Freq 105-120 will boost scores for sure, but you may not be able to bench with it too high, all depends on the setup and hardware
