So it's normal to drop under load, right?

yes its only if it crashes you need to raise cpu voltage or if its high overclock and you cant raise voltages anymore then enable llc,you shouldnt need that enabled at 3.2ghz though,i dont have it enabled at 3.8ghz

Thanks wazza300! I was afraid that those drops weren't normal. Like I've told you I've never had any single crash.
Now one final question. I pretend later to rise my overclock to 3.6Ghz. Would I benefit if I exchange my memory PC12800 with PC16000.
I've the opportunity to sell my memory for the same price I'll get the new one.

try and lower qpi/vtt one click at a time and test in between, its best to use as less voltage as you can and have the pc 100% stable

You may end up at the same point, as both kits can likely do 2000 anyway, and in the middle of the speed range the 1600 kit would likely end up with the same timings as the 2000mhz kit. Such as 1866Mhz with 888-24/898-24 timings, or similar.

Maybe not though, maybe the 2000Mhz kit can do 2200+, you never know. Anyway you can test/tinker with the other kit, or are you buying from a store?

    Thanks for answering Lsdmeasap.
I'm buying from a store. So I can't return it. But the deal could be good because in the end I wouldn't spent any money and I'd exchange the 1600Mhz by a 2000Mhz. Maybe later, if I've to sell, I'll sell better a 2000 than a 1600.

I'm a overclocking noob, and I'm just trying now to overclock to 3.2Ghz. Later, with a new case and a Thermalright Mux 120, I'll try to achieve 3.4Ghz and 3.6Ghz. With my actual cooler I won't go further than 3.2Ghz.
As you, Lsameasap, and waza300 has been always so helpful (I think honestly, that Gigabyte should pay both of you for the service you're doing and also for the time you spent here), I'd like you both too look at my settings and see if there is anything I can improve or even correct for 3.2Ghz.

you should be able to run with multithreading and turbo enabled with a touch more cpu voltage??
