Yes, I think that is all he needs, the measurements of the bottom three holes for stand offs

Had a reply from Scan, they say there just about to do a build, theyve measured standoffs for extended at 40mm.

now i guess it may not be exactly 40mm, may be 39.8 or whatever, but should be close enough.

if any chance you can confirm though would be ace.

    was given this

    O ------ 155mm ---------- O ------ 72mm ------ O

    |
    40mm
    |
    |
    O ------ 155mm ---------- O ------ 72mm ------ O

    ties in with mine....
well ive got 154.9mm and 72.3 and so on.

im guessing the 40mm will be slightly diffo, think they measured with ruler and not vernier, but should be close enough.

got a reply from gigabyte asking me to clarify question.

    grrrrrr

thought i might get a more accurate measurement from them

so i tried sending a pic, but wont let me send if its over 200k.

    grrrr.

    i got angry,

guessing that i may not get any replys from gigabyte now?

    we will see.

i really cant go any more laymans than sending a pic.

maybe i need to get a big orange crayon and say from here to here.
    and send pic in post.

    Your gonna love this.

    getting really funny now.

So i sent gigabyte a pic of a ud9 mobo showing where i need the dimension .

Theyve sent me a drawing back, saying can i mark it on their drawing instead.

Ha Ha, he he, are you ready?

they sent me a layout drawing, which dont show the mounting holes even.

Its just classic, reminds me of when i used to teach students engineering,,,,,,, god dam hard work sometimes.

This is just so funny.... they get 10,0000 points for totally missing the point.

latest reply i gave them, is that it dont show mounting holes, so i cant mark it on drawing obviously, and to please use drawing i sent.
which shows clearly what i require.

    and there making my motherboards.....OMG

This is seriously putting me off, ever buying a ud9 anyway.

Funny! You have to keep in mind they are translating your emails, so make it short and to the point.

I use this translator and translate what i want to say to Chinese and then back to English be sure it says what i want before I send it out. Sometimes you need to change a few or several words or the way you say them in order to make a translation say what you actually mean

    Use Chinese simplified
    Bing Translator
