I have tried 4ghz but the system restarted. So with Easy tune6 I should up the FSB on the go and the vcore?

As you decide, carefull with the voltages there. The more memory is more accurate, but slow. if only 5 loops set maximum memory.

In my case it shows error, then success on 20 out of 2000 loops (a success it was not, just reported error wrongly interpreted), and then error again on lower MHz FSB. What i mean is that you may not notice some times that you have only 4 out of 5 lines passed reported as success.

DS5 should for sure have LLC, as the UD4P and UD3R lesser boards have it

It is the setting right above Vcore, if you are not seeing it are you using the latest BIOS?

The llc chip logic is nonexistent. If possible by bios only, doubt it.

    What do you mean?

It is on the lesser boards UD3R/UD4P and the DQ6/Extreme, why would they skip the UD5?

Bios is the latest f12. I strongly believe that this board has too much vdrop for a HIGH o/c. If i set the vcore to 1.41 it sit at 1.37 on idle but under load drops to 1.344 1.360.

Just had a look that there is a beta bios F13a available......................

by the looks of this I am running the wrong bios.

    Intel Core™ 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz 12MB Yorkfield 45nm E0 95W 1333 F11
    Intel Core™ 2 Quad Q9550s 2.83GHz 12MB Yorkfield 45nm E0 65W 1333 F12
    Intel Core™ 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz 12MB Yorkfield 45nm C1 95W 1333 F6

it should be F11 not the F12 I am running?

    vdrop 1.312 /1.344 and vcore is 1.406

Use the latest BIOS, F13b beta
    http://www.station-drivers.com/telec...ivers.com).zip

Not sure what you meant about correct BIOS when you noted CPU's? If you thought you need a certain BIOS for a certain CPU, you do not, those version vs CPU type only mean from that BIOS version onwards the CPU is supported.

Use the latest BIOS, if the Vdrop/Vdroop is still to much for you the only thing you can do is a Vdroop hard mod if you feel like you are up to doing that.

Sorry about my comments above, I checked your BIOS and you do not have LLC, looks like they skipped it in this model for some reason? Maybe because this is not a mainstream board, and is only sold in certain regions?

Did you also try jumpering the CLR_CMOS pins for at least 5 - 20 minutes or longer?
Try booting with only 1 memory module installed until you can enter the bios to load optimized bios settings, then save settings and exit, and re-enter your bios to make any bios changes.
Use Performance Enhance = Standard, not Extreme.
Turn off your system and the psu switch, then press and hold the front panel on/off switch for at least 15 seconds.
Install your remaining memory module and see if your system boots.

There's no guarantee that your working bios settings with the older bios will work with the newer bios, you might have to do some minor tweaking.
