    Ok guys if its worth doing ill do it just dont want to brick my mobo

    also am not sure how to make my pen drive bootable iv got an 8gb corsair survivor and a 4gb stick, do I even need to make bootable or do I switch boot priority in bios? and do i need to format stick in NTFS or Fat32?

    Ok lads got my cooler today and temperatures have come right down shall we start with trying to overclock or shall i try update bios 1st?

    you might not need to make the memory stick bootable,you need to format it to fat32,all the programs to format it and make it bootable are in the q-flash guide on the main page if you read through it,update to the latest bios or even better imo the beta bios as it will have all the latest fixes for memory/cpu ect

    OK bios updated I think lol

    I load Optimized setting then updated bios then reset and loaded optimized settings again is this correct?

    If so am ready to do some over clocking please :)

    Ya you only need bootable USB if you plan to flash from DOS via USB, otherwise you just need a normal FAT32 USb with the BIOS file on it.

    Yes your method mentioned is how you should do it. You can verify BIOS version by pressing F9 on the MAIN page of the BIOS once you are done

    Thanks I can confirm my Bios is updated :) sorry for being thick just I saved for ages and paid good money for my comp and am just a bit paranoid about bricking it lol

    Ok m8 shall sort out specs in my sig and I would like a nice stable overclock maybe 3.8Ghz maybe more if possible i do some heavy usage with my comp (encoding) so the more the better ;)
