Does it vary from CPU to CPU? Or does the 980x have a good one from the getgo?

Another reason not to lap the cpu...don't void the warranty.

    Hey Guys,

Alrighty, Yesterday I lapped my heatsink the Noctua NH-D14 to make the base flat for better heat transfer. I have to say this heatsink really needed to be lapped, was very uneven when I got it.

So after 5 hours in total of lapping I got the base quite smooth with a tiny bit of a mirror finish which is not mandatory.

Today I will be modding / painting my Lian Li PC-P80 case, spraying some black paint in the interior. So stay tuned for those pictures, later that night I will probably begin mounting my heatsink onto the CPU and motherboard and get this to post, however that could be on Monday.

    Stay tuned, here's some pictures.
