Thanks to everyone for the responses. The new board is in and working great. What bios should I update to? Is F5 stable or should I go with F4? Thanks again.

Nice to see your new board is working fine!

I'd suggest the latest BIOS, you can get it here
    http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/giga...st-bios-28441/

Please DO NOT USE @BIOS to flash, use Qflash or DOS, here is a guide

Your board is Extreme version? If so then it's not a UD5 at all.

Did the board ever work for you? What is your full hardware specs, CPU and Memory model or link most importantly?

Do you have the memory in the white slots?

    The card worked
    CPU i7 930 2,8ghz,
    RAM Corsair 3x2gb xms 3 kit @ 1333,
Asus 5770 1gb (tryed with another, i get the same)
PSU Xilence Gaming Edition Power 600W
    ssd ocz
    hdd wd
    lg dvd combo

i disconnected them all IDE and sata from the mb (but still connected to the psu) and tryed with one ram on every slot then all to no avail (ram is new).

i think i forgot to specify that the two lines of leds near the RAM are all lit all the way to red.

I pulled out the battery over night and i`m putting it in as we speak (it is 12 in the morning here and yes it is morning for me :p)

EDIT: Same result after putting battery back in

Something i also forgot to mention: Mine doesnt ""powercycle": all fans run leds lit as specified, mb shows error code 88 and no post whatsoever. Can it be the PSU? or is the MB dead? :|? I hope i still have the warranty 4 it. :(

Can you test the power supply with a tester, or on another board? Or could you test with another PSU on this board?

Have you reseated the CPU? Could you post some images of the socket as asked above. And to verify, you said it did work before right? If so, what caused it to stop working, did you have the CPU out or it just stopped all of a sudden?

i changed the case, cpu cooler, PSU, RAM and HArd Drives, sorry i failed to state that before, seems this frustrates me to the point i don`t think straight anymore (it has been 2 days already)

i have reseated the CPU, i recon it is almost impossible to seat it wrong but i will check and also post pictures for your review.

but first i will try to get my hands on another PSU from a friend to see if it would post. I`m praying its not the MB.
