Next time before you try to unlock your cores, be sure both MAIN and Backup BIOS are the latest and match. You can verify by pressing F8 on the MAIN page of the BIOS, and you can flash the backup chip by pressing ALT + F12 at bootup time (Works on Intel, not sure about AMD)
Thanks. I didn't know, that it is possible to flash Backup BIOS.

It is on some BIOSes, that's why I wasn't sure about AMD so I thought I should mention it, but yes go ahead and test and see if it also works on your board.

If so let us know, thanks!

Yes You can use BIOS build-in Q-Flash utility, or Window based @BIOS utility to update BIOS. After Main BIOS update successfully, system will reboot and during POST, please press Alt + F12 key to update Backup BIOS.
We should toss ↓ this ↓ out from time to time.

Ya Artdrivers I knew AMD has Qflash, I just wasn't sure about the backup BIOS flashing hotkeys on AMD. I know some BIOS have this disabled, even on Intel.

Oh? http://www.gigabyte.us/FileList/NewT...bios_setup.pdf Lsdmeasap I didn't know that. I thought F11: Save CMOS to BIOS Alt F11: Save CMOS to backup BIOS for dual BIOS systems. F12: Load CMOS from BIOS, and Alt F12: Load CMOS from backup BIOS for dual BIOS systems. I supose I had that all wrong . Alt.F12 or F8. One of them should get us there. It may be better to use the F8 key and select the dual bios flash utility and flash the backup from the same drive that we used to Flash the Primary BIOS from. It stands to reason we will want to be sure the flash is completely successful first.

It's ALT + F12 to copy MAIN BIOS to Backup BIOS, but only certain BIOSes allow this

Ahh It's during P.O.S.T. you must press the Alt + F12 key. Instead of the delete key to enter BIOS, and this works on some Bioses? Naturally the hotkey is not in any single BIOSes. "The hotkey is not in some dual BIOSes as well?" I noticed it is in some of the BIOSes for AMD based motherboards. I don't know about all Dual BIOSes for AMD based motherboards. So it is worth a try after you personally have confirmed the Flash to be good.

Ya, that is when you do it. Some boards/BIOSes allow it and some do not, and sometimes between BIOS versions it is disabled

Yep, I would only do it with a known working BIOS. I often setup my main settings such as ram voltages, SATA, ect than load windows once, then reboot and flash the backup (When I plan to do it, some BIOSes do it on their own also to update Qflash)
