Yeh the fan speed readouts,in speedfan ,the 4 of them arent in the order u would expect, but it doesnt take too long to work out which is which.
I was really wondering if speedfan can now alter the actual speed of all 4 fans it gives a readout for(ones connected to the baoard and not the psu),apparently not.?.
    No worries.
What do you use for Gx card?I find evga precision better than the old rivatuner,I think its the same author.

SpeedFan can adjust speeds of CPU_FAN and SYS_FAN2 headers, 3-pin headers always run at full speed. Here is my configuration files for EP45-UD3:Attachment 2722

For Gfx I still use Rivatuner, I'll check that other program.

Just got a gainward gtx 460 and did a full load /heat test on it at the full factory o/c.
Tested using the occt gpu "fuzzy/furry" thing. Its something like the old atitool furry dice.

What the card does(aside from working well at hi temps),is pump a lot of heat out near the southbridge/sys temp sensor.
So yeh to get near max fan speed system temp or at least its sensor needs to read around 60C.
nb temp stayed more reasonable 43+C.
speedfan readout:Fan2=sys_2 connected one.First temp reading(60C) is the system temp.

Heat coming out the back:plenty of it ! I think this combination with overclocked cpu and gx is probably near the limit of my psu.
