    Default X58A-UD3R Mother Board Ram

I recently just bought this motherboard now I am trying to find the right ram for it. I know I am looking for a low lat ram and I only want 4gbs. Anyone have any suggestions that they know work well with this board? Maybe 7-7-7-24 timings? I am at a stand still right now. I see a lot of ram that works with the p55 boards although I am not sure if they will work with the x58

P55 memory will work fine in X58 board, but some of the 2000Mhz+ kits you wont reach the spec of unless you have a 980X CPU

Are you sure you only want 4GB, If so why? If it is due to $$ tell me what you are looking to spend and maybe I could find you a decent triple channel kit.

It is partly do to money. Really wanted to spend around 150 bucks. I know the main focus is to get low latency for gaming.

K, I'll have a look right now for a set for ya. Might be able to find a 6GB kit for 150, but I think you might be right and you would have better luck with a higher grade kit choosing 4GB at that price range.

Are you partial to any brands?

Sorry, Mushkin and G.Skill links there only.

Crucial really doesn't make performance memory like you are looking for, their kits would be 888-x timings. The other brand I am not sure which are better of their kits, and I know the good Corsair ones will cost more than you are looking to spend.

Ohh, found these Corsairs for $139 CAS 7

Thanks for your time bud. I think im going to go with the corsair. The last set you posted. I looked at them a few times and you posting that only helped me with my decision. Do think i should stick with 1600 over 2200? mainly going to be a gaming machine.

Edit: Never mind I had too re read your post and you already talked about that.

    Anytime!

For X58 if you are not buying a 980X CPU you wont be able to run 2000 or above for daily use, it requires too much QPI/Vtt
