    Default ep45 ud3p settings

Could someone please help me with some decent starting settings for said board. Just had to wipe cmos so running optimised defaults. running E8500 and just buying new ram, but i'll play with that. If someone could give me some decent settings to start with, it'd be much appreciated.

Please tell us your full specs, with a link to your memory.

Be sure you are starting with optimized defaults in the BIOS, not fail safe.

Yeah, deffinatly on optimised defaults currently.

Intel E8500, was running at 3.6 before cmos wipe, currently 333x9.5

Think im going to get this memory, just as it only has to last a little wile, and not too fussed about going mental on the OC, if theres anything better for under £50 then i'll go for that
    Patriot Signature 2GB DDR2 6400C5 (800MHz) Module (PSD22G8002H) [PSD22G8002H] Memory DDR2 - PC2-6400

Its a gigabyte Nvidia 8800GT graphics card

Tagen something or other PSU think its 520W

    Running IDE dvdrw

    single sata hdd
think thats about it? Sorry if im being vauge, havn't really touched the pc in two years, and im being a bit slow getting back into it haha

    Thanks for the memory link

Do you have a good cooler?

Do you want 3.6 setting, or 4Ghz?

    For my reference later

Any chance you could give me both? dont know if the proc will do 4ghz stable. running an OCZ vendetta cooler, direct heatpipe contact, its pretty highly rated. OCZ Technology Vendetta CPU Cooler (OCZTVEND) - dabs.com

Cheers for all the help mate

    Intel® Core

SLB9K will greatly improve the chances at 4Ghz and low voltage i think. How much voltage it depends on luck. mine is set 1.35V and i think most E0 stepping can do 4.0Ghz the same way.

3.6 and 4.0 same settings, except Mch Core 1.05V and 400 Host frequency x 9 ratio multi in the first case

    Try these for 3.6Ghz

For 4Ghz change FSB to 450

    Code:

    Fine CPU Clock Ratio.....................:.0
