    Default GA-890FXA-UD5 v2.0 Chipset driver

Hi, Iv been unable to find / or install the chipset drivers for this mobo. The CD says it has them but dosnt and when i DL the Chipset driver off the site and install it, all it installs is the USB Filter 1.1. I made a post on toms Hardware and was reff over here. Here are some screen caps iv taken on the system devices / driver install. Someone said there looks like there are some missing PCIe root ports and the LPCIO interface.

From your screen, everything is working fine and there is not any exclamation marks.
Installing chipset driver on windows 7 is not needed.

Ahh, i am new to windows 7. running 64bit atm. I didnt know it wasnt needed. I was reading some post about the AMD catalyst not recognize NB drivers. They used windows 7 and the catalyst in one part had the north bridge drivers on it. I didnt see the "AMD PCI Express (3GIO) Driver" that was stated in the post. Dos this mobo not have or run under a diff name?

I am having the same issue, as with others I have seen throught the web. The problem is the amd drives to not see the NB or SB so they install generic drivers that are 5 years old. It does this for Win 7 64 bit and XP for me. Have been trying for days to fix it.

Though it looks like everything is OK from the device driver it leaves you with one big issue, the generic drivers set you at plain old sata. The best performance you get is 140 MBps

For grins I set up the XP mode, and it install some Intel drives for the NB, SB, and Sata. * from what I have seen the 890FX chipset is on some intels). Well with those drives I run 280 MBps

How about if you run the driver installer in XP or Vista compatibility mode?
