thats what i told you about, some software like 3dmark 06 and cinebench wont see the turbo mode thats why its showing 4.15ghz instead of 4.5ghz,yet cpu-z can see turbo mode and shows the correct speed,it doesnt matter what bios u use beta or official it will still show the same thing,(look at my cinebench run at 4.2ghz in my youtube link in sig) yet it displays the cpu speed at 4ghz,its just software maybe newer versions of 3dmark and cinebench will fix it

Okay cool was also reading online to trust what CPU-Z says becasue I just checked the screen where you can do your windows index score and it too said 4.15 but others have said its a glitch as well. Geez wonder why this is.

yeah I agree because I touched my memory at one point and it was HOT. But so far system is stable and running nicely. I think its time to go higher after I save these settings. Can anyone recommend bios template for 4.6 - 4.8GHz if temps are still good I will use if not then 4.5GHz is good. I just want to know the limit of this baby.

Also using a higher Mulitipier doesn't hurt the CPU correct? Because this is something I also want to test to see the highest one it will go up too. Online I saw the highest being 37 but wonder what about x41+ if I use less blck.

Okay after reaching my overclock goals I decided to look into this issue with windows and bios reporting differently. I understand that I have been told this is a glitch or something however when bios reads the same 4.1GHz it starts to make me wonder if my computer is actually using 4.5Ghz as set in the bios. Does anyone know if there is software that can do this?

** Weird thing is that when I set cpu clock ratio to 25x blck to 180 at 4.5GHz windows reads this and all other programs as well as the bios showing both the non and turbo ratio at 25x 4.5GHz. Now when I set the ratio back to 27x its read in bios as 27x being the turbo frequency and then 25x as non turbo so if I disabled turbo in bios then am I only really clocked at 4.1GHz even though CPU-z shows 4.5Ghz and window shows 4.1Ghz? I know I keep asking the same questions I'm just trying to figure out what is going on because now 3 programs I use report 4.1GHz even though CPU-z is showing 4.5Ghz.

Am I the only one with 980x having this problem? Could it be my motherboard? should I use 25x (180 blck) instead of 27x? If I can only use up to 25x ratio what is the benefit of having an unclock ratio when windows can't properly read it if it really is or not showing correct overclock?
