To clearify, when you say "A" boards, you mean any model?.... I would expect the UD7 & 9 to allow this. What about the UD3 & 5? I just want to be clear.

    Thanks.

Yes, I mean all the models with "A", such as all the new SATA 6Gb/s / USB 3.0 boards.

Also the older EX58-UD3R rev. 1.6 has already had the modification needed as well

another question inregards to higher or lower CPU CLOCK RATIO. Does using a higher ratio instead of higher blck require more vcore or does using lower ratio and higher blck require more vcore?

so basically it all equals about the same volts no matter if I use lower or higher clock ratio? hmmm.... I thought for sure there would be a diffence meaning something like higher blck would increase heat or need more volts because its higher.

i thought that too,but to be honest ive never actually tested, ive always used highest cpu multi 21x and highest bclk i could get stable and keep to a certain degrees c that i wanted, but higher bclk vs lower cpu multi and vice versa needing more/less voltage isnt true in most cases if at all

It's not like FSB, shouldn't matter to an extent. You may need more voltages at Bclks like 210-2xx than you would at 133, but under 200 shouldn't require anymore voltages than other Bclks if overall freq is the same

Okay update trying to go for 4.6GHz no matter what cpu clock ratio I use I get 0X00000124 Bsod. I have tried to raise QPI/VTT each one but still keep getting same code. What else effects the QPI/VTT instead of trying to raise just that?

    CPU
Load Line Calibration ................. [Enabled - Level 1]
CPU Vcore ............................... 1.32-1.45+ All up to your CPU
    QPI/VTT Voltage 1.150v ............ 1.355-1.46
    CPU PLL 1.800v ....................... 1.8-1.86

    MCH/ICH
    PCIE 1.500v ........................... 1.5
    QPI PLL 1.100v ....................... 1.2-1.24
    IOH Core 1.100v ..................... 1.14-1.2
    ICH I/O 1.500v ....................... 1.5
    ICH Core 1.1v ........................ 1.14

I have tried all those settings but need to find out what else on this effects the QPI/VTT voltage.
