you should set your os hdd/ssd as first boot device, then any dvd drives as you want the bios to scan and load the os first,if its not present then it will use the next device in boot order and so on

checked all your components are properly plugged in? ram in white slots all psu wires plugged in ect? tried clearing the cmos by removing mb battery? you could have an old bios on you mb that wont support the 930 chip yet,to fix it you will need to put in a 920 chip and flash to the latest bios,or take your mb/chip to a computer store and ask them to do it for you

thats assuming you have a 930 chip? idk

Is that a new build? If so check all things mentioned above, then if no luck clear the CMOS, then if no luck remove the CPU and check to be sure you do not have any bent CPU socket pins.

It would also be great if you could post us a list of all of your hardware

So what caused it to start doing this?

You only have one single 2Gbs tick of memory? If so can you test it on another machine to be sure it is not faulty? (Use white memory slots only on your board, FYI)

If you can't test it on another machine can you borrow another stick or set of memory to test on your setup?

am very sure nothing happened to the system that i know of. the last thing i did on it was to hibernate it and the next morning i tried putting it on and behold it started the famous 4 secs reboot cycle. the system did not give me any problem since February this year. so now i need to know how to wake it up cos am sure its the mobo from all the other comments i ve seen in this forum so far

I also replied to your other post just now (Didn't realize you were posting in two places until now)

Does the machine post to BIOS if you remove all CD/DVD and hard drives?
