    Default GA-x58A-UD3R Network adapter disapears

Hi all, I really hope someone can help me out as Im starting to pull my hair out!

    Specs:
    GA-x58A-UD3R
    i7 930
    6gb G.Skill F3-10666CL9T-6GBNQ (3x2GB) DDR3
    MSI N240GT
    OCZ Vertex 2 60GB SSD
    WD CAVIAR BLACK 500GB
    LG SATA DVD burner

OK, firstly I have 2 identical systems with the same specs and both of them exhibit this behaviour. Everything will be going fine then randomly the Network Adapter will fail. On closer inspection it has disappeared from Device Manager and on reboot it is missing from the POST screen and does not function in SMART LAN. The only way to get the Network Adapter to function again is to disconnect the power, give it a couple of minutes then reconnect the power, just shutting down does nothing.

Im running the latest drivers and FB16. I went to FB16 from FA to try and fix this problem with no luck.

Also I bought some ASUS NX1101 Network Adapters to try and circumvent the problem and the systems wont even boot with them in, even with integrated LAN disabled.

If anyone can help me out I would be eternally grateful!

    Native IDE Cntrlr IRQ12
    Native IDE Cntrlr IRQ11
    Network Cntrlr IRQ10
    IEEE 1394 Host Cntrlr IRQ7
    ACPI Controller IRQ9

When the Network Adapter is not working I get this:

Alright, Ive disabled just bout everything I can find in BIOS, USB3, eSATA, 1394. Ive disconnected all drives and just used 1 stick of RAM (rotating through the sticks) and swapped out the video card for a different model.

All that is connected is a videos card, 1 stick of RAM, the PSU and a PS/2 keyboard. Its seems to happen most often on a cold boot, so if I leave them off for 10 minutes or so then boot them up the Network adapter is missing.

Lsdmeasap, Im running the latest INF from Gigabyte 9.1.2.1007 and LAN driver 7.018.

Also I bought 2 ASUS NX1101 NIC's to try and get around this problem and when I install them all I get is a boot loop with no opportunity to enter BIOS.

Hmm, not sure why those NIC's would fail to work, unless Gigabyte sabotaged them because they say Asus but I doubt that :)

Did you try them in all available slots, have you tested them in another PC to ensure they are functional?

They're PCI cards and the UD3R only has one slot so Im kinda stuck. The odds of them being faulty have to be pretty low, I just cannot get them to work with the UD3R's.

Can you please test them in another machine to be sure they are ok?

You may need to RMA your board, sounds like your LAN Controller may be faulty since it keeps failing.
