just now no, I didn't have the monitor plug

but I test everything before, monitor, video cards unplugging everything, plug only some of them, different VIDEO CARDS, whole different system, diferrent ram, one stick at a time, different cpu

as I just upgrade from my "old" phenom II x4 940 and ddr2 ram

I'm changing the system back to GA-890FXA-UD5 and see if works now

I hope, pray for me please

Ahh ok, I just asked cause you said good boot beep only, but didn't mention anything further.

Sounds like it's working now though, hopefully you will see the success splash screen once you connect a monitor!

If you can get into BIOS Load Optimized Defaults. Save and Exit.

Can you link us to the type of power supply it is? It may work on an older system, but not that one. You may want to be sure it's got a good one that has the 12V 2X4 connector (Not 1x4) this should support enough power for the cpu. "I recall this as being an issue, more than once, seen in this forum before. They had the short repeated beeps also.
Here is a quote from page 23 of the motherboard manual.
    1/2) ATX_12V/ATX (2x4 12V Power Connector and 2x12 Main Power Connector)
With the use of the power connector, the power supply can supply enough stable power to all the components on the motherboard. Before connecting the power connector, first make sure the power supply is turned off and all devices are properly installed. The power connector possesses a foolproof design. Connect the power supply cable to the power connector in the correct orientation. The 12V power connector mainly supplies power to the CPU. If the 12V power connector is not connected, the computer will not start.
To meet expansion requirements, it is recommended that a power supply that can withstand high power consumption be used (500W or greater). If a power supply is used that does not provide the required power, the result can lead to an unstable or unbootable system.
↓Here↓ is the pdf download link for the GA-890FXA-UD5 MB manual if you want. Give it a bit to download. http://download.gigabyte.ru/manual/m...ud5_v2.0_e.pdf

I would think it is good, but to be sure can you try hooking a different power supply? Just to rest it being that power supply. I am also thinking maybe the connections aren't fully seated. I would check that too. They may be real tight.

I don't have another PSU to test with

the thing is that the computer turns on, but just won't into the bios, I get a all black screen with no conection.

I would think is the bios, but I tested the psu on the other computer and it did the same, turns on, but didn't go into bios.

    this is weird...

I've PMed this guy that knows how to recover the bios from the dual (back up)

cuz I can't find info about that on the net nor the gigabyte website

Yes Lsdmeasap should get back to you shortly. He did have some questions previously. He may see an answer to them here. Yes I would try recovering BIOS from backup if he suggest it. I still believe it could be a Power Supply issue. I hoped you could borrow or find another power supply to try. Keep us posted.

Yeah Lsdmeasap, you did PM me, and I did try 4+7 and no, it didn't work. I'm fairly sure I did it properly (I've never done it before so I don't know whether I was correct or not) and nothing. Its been sent back already, so I'll find out soon I imagine as to whether I'm getting it back in a working condition or not.
