    Default EP31-DS3L Ram Problem

    Hi everyone

    First I Google and I found someone had the exactly same problem but his problem is not resolved, So plz read his topic first, Here is the topic :

    I already have Kingston 1gb ddr2 800mhz and Kingston 1gb ddr2 800mhz so I bought today two new ram each one is Kingston 1gb ddr2 800mhz so I'll not get any problem, When i installed the 2gb new ram I was sad because it was 2gb running only because the sale man said he can't take it and give me my money because I open the ram, So I tried to put The two new ram one In slot 3 and one In slot4 and put one 1gb from the old one In slot 1 then I turn on my pc and then I saw it's become 3gb in the bios and windows I was happy I said to my self now sure it's not problem from the motherboards or ram It's just I didn't put the ram well and now I did so now it's 3gb ram running fine then i put the old ram in slot 2 and turn on my pc the bios and windows still say 3gb ram only not 4gb i became again sad, Can someone help me to solve this problem :)

    Specs:

    Gigabyte EP31-DS3L @ Latest bios
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz
    GTX 275
    OS Windows 7 x64 (64-bit)

    So you have 4 1GB sticks correct? Are they all the same model?

    Are you setting your memory and MCH Voltages manually?

    Are you using 32bit OS or x64?

    Thank you, I know now what is the problem, Because my two old ram is double sided and the two new ram is single sided and EP31-DS3L need the four ram to be single sided to work

    First check your applied ram voltage with the 2 old sticks in BIOS HW Monitor.
    If it around 1.8V you may try to set DDR OverVoltage +0.1.
    Also set MCH OverVoltage +0.1
    See if that help you getting started.

    EDIT: pleaase post full BIOS settings using the template from this post.
