Hi Guys, I am having a problem with seagate hard drives and bad firmware. First off I will identify my drive as a Seagate 500G model number ST3500320AS and started with SD15 firmware and flashed to SD1A firmware. My main symptom was and still is a laggy hard drive at times. It may have bad sectors on the drive and crystalDiskInfo4.0.2 reports a Health status as Caution. One entry stands out is the Reallocated sectors Count with a value of 100 and a thresh hold of 36.

I agree, please test on another PC to be sure. These programs read the info directly inside the drive, so if you are using the latest version and it's reading the data correctly then the drive would be at fault not the controller
