Default "Docile" 3x2GB RAM Kits for Gigabyta GA-EX58-UD3r Rev 1.0

Here is my effort to make a succesful "negotiation" between my Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R Rev1.0 and the new kid on the block, G.Skill Ripjaws 3x2GB 1600 MHz Triple RAMKit, which ended up as a miserable attempt in doing so. Not to say that I don't recognize how helpful the folk here was, it was just some "blood incompatibility", I say.

So now that I'Ve decided to return this product, I have to look at other alternatives. And from what I've learned so far, certain compatibilities between mobos and RAM kits exist for a reason I have no access to.

In Turkey, other than G.Skill, the brands Corsair, Patriot, OCZ, Kingston, Team, A-Data, Hi-Level, Transcend are available.

I'll go for 1600 MHz and triple kits.

Please, keeping in mind that, as underlined above, I'm looking for stability and compatibility, what would you suggest ?

    Thanks in advance.

Is there a serious advantage in investing 2000 Mhz than 1600s ?

No not really... I only bought my 2000 mhz ram because I didnt know better but I also bought them as I know the ram is rated for 2000 mhz so know matter what O.C I would go with i know the memory would not hold me up.. At 4.5 ghz my ram runs at 1720. Even if im not pushing the cpu i can run my ram closer to 2000 but personally i think it takes to much QPI/VTT to get it up there. 12gbs of ram will take a whole lot of voltage to get running.

Hrlm, splashing cash on 2000Mhz is a waste of money then ?

Yes, unless you have 980X you wont be running 2000Mhz without using a ton of voltage anyway, and may not be able to at all with 12GB anyway.

So best choice would be a good 1600Mhz kit.

Would you say Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 MHz 3x2GB is a reasonable choice then ?

I try to not comment on brands when possible, is that on the QVL?

If it's not on the QVL be sure you look around in google or here to see if you find anyone using it without issue, or anyone having issues with it.

It's not but I've been fed with enough info that Gigabyte and GSkill are not good friends to each other.

So, in any case, Corsair stands as the flagship of reliability. I'll go and purchase the one I told above as soon as I'm refunded.
