What is your memory and uncore multi and qpi multi set to? post your current stable settings at the max blck that you can run.

Make sure your not pushing your ram to far, qpi, is under 8.8 gbs i think it is and uncore is under 4200mhz. Must cpus crap out at 4000-4200 uncore speed. I think your pushing qpi/vtt voltage enough. 1.22 is every low or you have memory running very slow and or uncore which is ok for just pushing blck.

Check the things I suggested first then try pushing qpi/vtt voltage to 1.4 and see what it does.

edit for got make sure pci-3 is set to 102-103 to get past 215 bclk. 102-103 should get you upto 225 blck.

mem is 8x and uncore mult is 16X but have tried 17x...I have some nice ST ram which runs stock at 2000mhz 8-8-8 timings, Im well under stock. Uncore speed is below 4000

Ive tried PCIE from 100-110, no difference.

Highest stable settings is what Im running now 4.45@1.31V, although I can run LinX at 4.47 Its not reliable booting

Just because the CPU can do a nice overclock, does not mean it can do nice Bclks, but I do suspect it can do more than you are getting.

You guys can always send me your CPU for testing if you want, anytime, seriously, and I can tell you what Bclk it can do.

Viper, you are going to need more than 1.4 Vtt for sure. Most often when I see the slow bootup, shutter like screens, it's often not enough Vtt or not enough IOH (I've used 1.4+ For high Bclk).

Vtt will need 1.45-1.6+ for massive Bclks, push it to 1.45-1.5 and see how much that helps you.

And yes, a PCI card as well as an IDE drive will help you get 5-10 more Bclk, but only well after what you are reaching now.

I have not used your Nvidia card, or any for that matter, but I'd think it should be ok to go to 230-240 at least, unless it can't handle higher PCIE very well.

106-112 seems to work the best for me, of course after 240-245 a bit more can always help too.

Yikes, well I have no idea what just happened, but i was just about to take ur advice Lsdmeasp and crank that VTT to the ungodly amounts u stated...but i figure let me try this current VTT im using 1.2V (stock) and raise the PCIE to 106 (ur advice)...ive never used 106 bc i heard certain ranges interfere with the GPU, so i usually use 100-104 and then skip to 110 and it actually booted to my astonishment for the first time in months@4.51ghz. Hopefully this is not an accident...bc at 4.47 i can boot and run LinX but everything goes haywire on reboots and waking up from sleepmode...but its a start...im gonna isolate which setting made the difference, very low VTT or PCI 106 or both.

Here are the settings I booted with:

thank you very much sir :)

Well to update...i was able to reboot these settings successfully 1st time and sleep mode is working with these settings also...next up im gonna try some gaming and creep towards stability.

If that is fully stable you have a very nice cpu there.

You may see some peformance increase if you bump uncore to 17x or 18x depending on how much more qpi/vtt voltage is needed.

lol, thats really "subjective" is their even such a thing as "fully stable"...so far it seems stable for the things im doing with it, ive been able to do video conversion and gaming so far without a single crash. Eventually Ill get around to doing SOME LinX runs :)...Im on air cooling and HT is still ON so LinX testing will have to wait till it gets a little colder outside.

yeah I know, thats why i was so darn frustrated with this board...seems like it just needed 106 PCIE, funny how 110 PCI was a nogo with booting. Thanks.

What stablity test have you run, linx or prime95 or intel burn test?

Also how long have you run them?

Intel burn test or linx run full memory for 10 loops for quick test and 20 loops for full stablity. Key eye on core temps. If using prime95 for at least 6-12 hrs.
