LSD and wazza, I flashed to the GOOCUD9.W01 BIOS - Even though it says GOOCUD9.W01 on flash drive - It shows up as GOOC 2010 WWF in BIOS and CPU-Z. Thats the UD7 BIOS. Do the UD9 and UD7 use the same BIOS's ??? I loaded and flashed from the site you sent - I also loaded and flashed from TT with same results. I was hoping there was a problem with BIOS because I still can't get RIG stable. I'm not sure what the MAX is for QPI/vtt ??? I don't have problem cranking up Vcore to 1.42v if need be. I've tried with Vcore at 1.4v and QPI/Vtt at 1.395v - still not stable - might be RAM or some other settings in BIOS. I'll run memtest over night - Do you have any suggestions ??? I might not be stable but I'm fast. Thanks wibujo

Wazza300, I have 24GB's of RAM - I'm running Vcore at 1.3v and QPI/vtt at 1.315v at the moment and I think RAM settings are my problem. Man, working with FSB's was so much easier. Anyway, Ive been playing with RAM timings and seems to be more stable. I'll run IBT and play with voltages. I'm running RAM at 2000MHz and Timings are 8-9-8-24 @ 1.65v. If you have any suggestions it would be much appreciated. Thanks wibujo

P.S. I even removed 12GB's of RAM and run at least 50 stress test - still could not get stable. I reinstalled all RAM (24GB's) then fomatted HDD's / Cleared CMOS and did a clean install. I even reflashed BIOS. I will run memtest tonight. Thanks

you wont run 24gb of ram at 2000mhz,you need to lower ram speed to around 1333 or 1600mhz and use more qpi/vtt voltage, idk how much as ive never tried with 24gb of ram,12gb is hard to get stable let alone 24,i would try with around 1.4v qpi/vtt for that amount of ram,try with 8-8-8-24 timings too

@wibujo are you using your 980x that is in your sig with this ud9? if so Uncore only has to be 1.5 memory multi so if your using 8x ram you only need 12x +1 +2 uncore.

Think this holds true to the 970 but not sure.

24GB or even 12GB is going to need more QPI/Vtt than you are using.

And as mentioned above, if you are using 980X then you do not have to have uncore at 2x ram multi. You can try 1.5x ram multi up to 2x ram multi.

Also as mentioned, you can't run that much memory at 2000Mhz either if you were trying, you'll have to use 1333-1600 or so.

I see you mention BIOS file name issues. What Splash screen do you get at bootup, UD9 or UD7?

They are different, I just checked for you to be sure, the file I uploaded for you is the UD9 BIOS and has UD9 splash screen, the other has UD7 splash.

    * Sorry about the image re-size, Please right click and "View Image" to see the full image.

And they have different BIOS ID's, which Qflash verifies against what's on the board already in case you try to flash the wrong BIOS, so you shouldn't have been able to flash the wrong BIOS anyway.

They both may say WWF in CPU-z, that might be normal as they were both used for the same competition. If you have UD9 splash screen then you flashed the right file

Thanks to all, I do have UD9 splash screen. Glad to here my BIOS is OK. I also have the 980x CPU. I'm also having problems with debug code "FF". If you could help get me get that back on track - I'll try to get RAM stable at 1600 (if no go) I'll back it down to 1333. I wouldn't have bought this RAM if "G.Skill" hadn't of told me that it would run great on the UD9 and 980x. Anyway, if I could get "debug code" issue resolved I'll get back to stressing. Thanks for all the information and suggestions. wibujo
