    LSD, I backed RAM down to 1600 and have had no issues. I ran IBT (very high) 15 passes and LinX (2048) 20 passes several times with no problems. I also ran P95 blend for 6hrs. with no problem. I know I need to stress CPU and RAM more before I start backing down timings - could I get you to look at my BIOS template and see if I need to make adjustments ??? If good to go I'll run 12hrs. of P95 large and small FFT's - then I'll run 24hrs. of blend. I'd run LinX on MAX but it takes forever - Do I need to ??? Here's my BIOS settings. Thanks wibujo

    LSD / Chike, I passed 12hrs. of P95 small FFT's, 12hrs. of P95 large FFT's and 24 hrs. of P95 blend. Core temps did hit 64c but usually ran 47c to 54c. No problems what so ever. Chike, I've already hit 82.3 GFlops with this RAM - Once I learn this board I'm sure I'll be bangin on 90 GFlops. On my EP45-UD3P/E8600 I've hit 31.4 GFlops and on my EP45T-USB3P/Q9650 I've hit 60.8 Gflops. Volts (temps) were way to high for 24/7 use. Since I believe my CPU stable at this speed - Should I go ahead and start backing down timings ??? CAS 7 ??? I thought the GFlops looked low too. I hope tightning up RAM timings will give me more GFlops. Anyway, I'll wait on suggestions before I continue. Thanks a million wibujo

    I don't think GFlops are usually effect that much by memory timings. What memory bencmarks show you?
    I was hoping to see a 100GFlops (even if for the record only). That will require 4.5-4.6GHz CPU frequency.

    EDIT: If those memory modules can stand up to their specs 7-7-7-20 should not be a problem.

    Ya, Gflops are more about CPU, amount of memory tested, and the time that takes. Also the linpack version used can affect the amount as well.

    Hyperthreading affects this as well.

    LSD/Chike, I was only getting 68 GFlops. (IBT standard / core temps never hit 60c) I did achieve what I set out to do - Stable setting for 4.2GHZ. I want some GFlops - What would be best - 4.5 /4.6 ??? I'm going to get a 990x CPU anyway (I almost have enough $$$ saved for one) - So I'm not really concerned about this chip. Is there anyway you could help me find a template for 4.5 to 4.6 ??? I've looked around - just can't seem to find one. Thanks wibujo

    Disable Hyperthreading and see what you get.

    How much memory are you testing, and what LinX are you using?

    Give me your 4.2 and I can give you some 4.5-4.6 settings to try out.

    Does multiplier shows 21 under full load too?That may be Turbo boost at idle only?
